Solid Surface

Solid Surface is a man-made material usually composed of bauxite, acrylic or polyester resins and pigments. It is most frequently used for a seamless, low-maintenance countertop surface. Acrylic solid surfacing can also be heated and thermoformed, which adds to the versatility of the product. We carry all of the major brands of solid surfacing.

Stain Resistance – Solid Surface is non-porous and stain resistant. Even the most subborn materials can usually be removed with a little abrasive cleaner.

Heat Resistance – Solid Surfacing is heat resistant, although we do not recommend setting hot cookware directly on any countertop surface. We always recommend a hot pad or trivet no matter what countertop product you choose.

Cutting and Abrasion – Solid surface material is durable against damage from daily use. Occasionally, rough cookware will create fine scratches in your countertop, but these can usually be removed with a good abrasive cleaner.

Food Safe – Solid Surface is certified for use as a food preparation surface. Because it is a non-porous product, it can be easily cleaned and sanitized, making it an excellent choice for kitchens and commercial food service areas.

Solid Surface products contribute to the sustainable design goals of a variety of commercial and residential applications.
